Professor in Educational Statistics at the Graduate School of Education and a member of the Interdepartmental Group in Biostatistics, both at the University of California, Berkeley. She also has a part-time position as Chair and Professor of Social Statistics at the Department of Quantitative Social Science, Institute of Education, University of London. She was previously a Reader in Statistics at the Department of Biostatistics and Computing at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. is an applied statistician in the areas of social statistics, biostatistics and psychometrics. Her research interests include multilevel and latent variable modelling. Over the last few years she has been developing a general modeling framework (see GLLAMM below) and software to estimate the models.
