Resumen: Intends to introduce the reader to DEA. This book is aimed at those who have had no prior exposure to DEA and wish to learn how it works, its key uses, and the mechanics of using it. The contents of the book represent a distillation of much of the fundamental theory of DEA wich is scattered in resarch papers over a long period of time into a coherent whole beginning from first principles and going up to some of the main extensions of DEA such as its use in assessing productivity change over time and policy effectiveness.
