Resumen: This report is intended for policy-makers concerned with the governments and efficiency of the financial sector and its banking institutions. The essays in this report were written by bankers with experience in both industrial and developing countries. They set out international best practices - practices that, because of the increasing globalization of international financial markets, are becoming the accepted standard everywhere. These materials have already been used in a number of World Bank - sponsored training programs for bankers and bank supervisors. Training and educational institutions in Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Russia have undertaken translations of part or all of the materials.
